Protected Silver Coatings
Silver the most effective material to exhibit the reflectivity in the visible region of any commonly available metal. And silver is not as suitable as aluminum for use at shorter wavelengths as it exhibits a drop in reflectance starting in the blue and failing to a minimum near 315 nm. These coatings are widely used to work with internal mirrors, as it maintains a higher reflectivity.
